RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY [WORLWIDE]: Firefighters wanted for interviews about their experiences on the causes and management of work-related shoulder injuries.

The FIREWELL team (Lead: Dr. Joy C. MacDermid, Western University) is looking to explore firefighters’ experiences on the causes and management of work-related shoulder injuries. The goal of the study is to explore firefighters’ perceptions on the causes and risk factors of shoulder injuries. Our findings will be used to develop effective firefighter-specific strategies to prevent or manage these shoulder injuries.

To be eligible to participate in the 30-minute interview, you must be:
– a career or volunteer firefighters (worldwide), and
– have previously or currently experiencing a shoulder injury (e.g., shoulder sprains or strains, broken shoulder, frozen shoulder, shoulder arthritis, shoulder dislocation, rotator cuff tears etc.), and
– the shoulder injury occurred on the job as a firefighter.
