In March, several FIREWELL members presented their firefighter research at provincial and national conferences.
Dr. Amanda Brazil (University of Prince Edward Island) was a panelist on “21st Century Families” at the University of Prince Edward Island Satellite Conference – Families in Canada (March 27, 2019, Charlottetown).
Ms. Jennifer Keir (University of Ottawa) presented, “Facts and Fiction of Firefighters’ Chemical Exposures” at Firehouse World (March 25-28, 2019, Los Angeles).
Dr. Joy MacDermid (Western University) presented, “Update on Firefighter Research: To FIREWELL and Beyond” at the Ontario Professional Fire Fighters Association’s Defazio Taylor Health and Labour Seminar (March 27, 2019, Niagara Falls).
