FIREWELL Researchers, Drs. Kathryn Sinden (Lakehead University) and Amanda Brazil (Centre for Health and Community Research, PEI), and Joy MacDermid (Western University) are presenting at Fire-Rescue Canada 2019 on September 14-15, 2019 in Calgary, Alberta.
Dr. Sinden is co-presenting with Chief John Hay (Thunder Bay Fire Rescue) and President Dennis Brescacin (Thunder Bay Professional Fire Fighters Association) on, “The FIIIRE Lab: Developing Evidence-Based Solutions to Improve Firefighter Work Health.”
Dr. Brazil is presenting on, “Stories from the Hall? Making the Case for Supporting Volunteer Firefighter Mental Health through their own Words.”
Dr. MacDermid (as the CIPSRT Scientific Director for Fire) is co-presenting with Dr. Nick Jones (Executive Director of the Canadian Institute for Public Safety and Research Treatment (CIPSRT)) on, “All in for Mental Health – From Federal Initiatives to the Front Line.”
