Dr. Temitope Osifeso awarded a CIHR CPRA

Congratulations to Dr. Temitope Osifeso for receiving a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Canada Postdoctoral Research Award (CPRA) for the project titled, “Return-To-Work Interventions for High-Risk Occupation Workers Experiencing the Occupational Injury Triad of Chronic Pain, Musculoskeletal and Mental Health Disorders“.

This research aims to better support recovery and safe return to work for individuals in high-risk occupations (firefighters, police officers, miners, and construction workers) with a combination of musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain, and mental health conditions, while informing more integrated and responsive healthcare and workplace systems.

Dr. Osifeso will be conducting her postdoctoral research project with Dr. Ruby Grewal (Supervisor, Orthopaedic Surgery) and Dr. Joy MacDermid (Collaborator, Physical Therapy) at Western University and the Hand Upper Limb Centre (HULC) Clinical Research Lab.
