The results from the Fire Service Women Ontario (FSWO) study on Ontario firefighters’ experiences and opinions on gender and workplace culture was shared in the April issue of the Canadian Firefighter magazine.
This research was funded by the Women and Gender Equality (WAGE). The findings will be used to build a resource toolkit that will address the recruitment, retention, and promotion of women as effective firefighters in Ontario fire departments.
