Congratulations to Drs. Kathryn Sinden and Joy MacDermid, and Fire Chief John Hay (Thunder Bay Rescue) who received funding from The Council of Canadian Fire Marshals & Fire Commissioners and The Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs for their project, “Firefighter burden of injury relative to specific fire response characteristics.”
This project will review and analyze The National Fire Incident Database to determine how fire ground characteristics (e.g., firefighter personal attributes, personal protective equipment) relate to firefighter injuries throughout Canada.
